Dates: two preparations

Finally we are approaching the cold weather and Christmas. Even winter has its charm for me is made of placid evenings in front of the tree that glitters, meetings with friends after dinner, many toasts, nibbling delicacies like Christmas and winter dates, nuts and dried ...

In this time of year is viewed with great indulgence in calories, fats, sugars and complex carbohydrates or less. In particular I'm crazy about apricots dehydrated and dates, especially fresh ones, so you'll understand my excitement when my husband brought home this beautiful branch of Tunisian dates.
My husband works in a company that deals with transport, including to and from, inter alia, the countries of the Maghreb, so he obtained from local correspondents throughout this rich prize for me! I've eaten a lot at once natural, but the date is likely to be prepared as sweet and is perfect to offer to friends who come to visit for an informal after dinner.
With the same ingredients, I made two different preparations consistevolmente despite the conditions. The first is a sort crust of bread which is the date and the contents of which are based on a mixture of mascarpone. The second is the "sandwich" of a date for filling of whipped cream puffs.
Since we are in the midst of Moorish influences, everything will be scented with rose. The rose water is a product used to flavor desserts, and is easily in supermarkets and ethnic shops, this recipe in addition to the rose scent I wanted to give a hint of alcohol. As it happens I had a hostage in my pantry brandy rose ... who would have thought that a Chinese liquor was served to a cause in the Middle East? A word about
mascarpone: Mascarpone is a fresh cheese known because a lot of fat is used for the tiramisu, you get the cream, but unlike other cheeses, it is not curdled, but the cream is added citric acid or acetic acid at high temperatures, and that is why we assume the special creamy.

Like almost all the recipes that I propose, this is a very simple preparation, we see the ingredients that will suffice for both preparations

A bag of ready-made cream puffs (learn to do it in a while ')
A pack of 250 g mascarpone,
Dates in large quantity, about sixty
Cane
Cinnamon Grappa
of roses (or cognac and flavored with rose water. I ask you: is not the rose water that is used as a tonic!)
Almonds: 30



Preparation of the sandwich dates

Remove the core and open a book thirty dates.



thus prepare the filling: In a bowl put all the mascarpone cheese and pour a glass of brandy at the rose (or substitutes), two teaspoons of cinnamon, four tablespoons of sugar cane. Stir until the mixture is homogeneous.

For this dish you have to use half of mascarpone. If you have no eye, first divide it into two containers.

Preparation of the dates and mascarpone cream puffs:

Put in a blender the remaining half of mascarpone almonds fifteen, thirty dates and mix well. Becomes too dry, add another goccino grappa ... can not hurt, right? Then fill the cream puffs that have been cut in half, and serve ricomponeteli!
